Hello 2011! : )

Yeah, yeah, yeah, Laura do not stress about being six days late....

HAPPY TEN DAY BELATED NEW YEAR!

Well I am not feeling very thoughtful or sentimental. So instead of talking about how great 2011 will be I will just talk about how AWESOME I am. HOW EXCITING! This year will be great though, because I am forcing it to be so.

Lately I have been enjoying cake decorating! Wanna see some of my work? WOW! It must have been some time since last I wrote. Ehh oh well. I am here now. NO WORRIES! 8D

My first cake.... (I feel like I am talking about my children... haha)
Here I might as well name it. Oops. It is showing it above I think. Well I shall name it JOY! YAY!

Then I made cake number 2 and 3. THe pumpkin one is for Halloween.... SHOCKER. Then one of my FAVORITES!!!! My Phantom of The Opera Eating Experience! YUM AND BEAUTIFUL! Oh and just so you know.... CHRISTINE SHOULD LOVE THE PHANTOM. Okay.

CAKES, CAKES, CAKES!!!!! Just recently I made a cupcake masterpiece. (notice the word piece follows the I BEFORE E rule. WHOA! ONE OF THE FEW WORDS THAT DO. I will vent about that another day.) So anyways, for my niece's (oh look another I before E follower ;) !) baptism I made this delicious cupcakes yay. I rock, I know.

Well I feel to lazy to proof read my writing and I really don't care to write more so see ya.
Spelling errors: Only one! How great. I actually have been helping others spell!!! I KNOW TIS WONDERFUL.

New Years (six days late)

Happy New Years!
Yes, I am quite aware that New Years was six days ago, but I have been procrastinating a bit more than I find acceptable lately, so I decided just now that a late New Years post was better than none.
Shall we guess who is writing this post?
Is is Emma?
Of course not! Emma would have misspelled something by now...
Is this Mariah?
Of course not! Mariah would have bourne her testimony by now...
If you haven't guessed yet, this is Laura. (aka Laur, LoJo, JoJo, Bugaboo, Scout, etc.)

Here are some of my New Years resolutions:
1. Do better in school. I get good grades, but I'm secretly a bad student.
2. Get into college. And not a stupid college like Salt Lake Community College.
3. Do more service. Service is good. It also helps with New Years Resolution #2.
4. Complete Personal Progress again. Not sure how this one's gonna go... I worked on Personal Progress for 3 1/2 years to finish it the first time, and now I have a year.
5. Try to eat less junk food. I don't want to die when I'm 40.
Yes, I know that these are pretty dumb resolutions, but I must assure you that I have some good ones as well -- they're just super important to me so I'm not going to post them online yet. Maybe when the year ends I'll tell you about them.
Also, one more thing... I'm generally an unambitious person, so all these resolutions are really general and have words like try and better, so then if I don't do too great then technically its not really failure. Maybe I should have a resolution to stop doing that. Next year.

If I were Mariah, I would include a paragraph about how great 2010 was and all the things I've learned and how my testimony has grown.
But I'm not Mariah.
But for the sake of it, I will include something.
2010?
Not what I anticipated.
What have I learned?
I dunno; a lot of stuff.
Testimony?
Fabulous.
Enough said.

I hope that all you blog readers had wonderful New Years and Christmases and Hanukkahs and Kwanzaas and Other-December-Holidays! Anyone who cares to can comment and tell us about your holidays if you really want to... I don't know what I'm saying exactly, but in all other blog posts I've read they end with an invitation to comment.

Happy Anniversary from We Three Can't Agree!

Happy Thanksgiving! We are thankful for the last year that we've had.

This time last year we were downstairs in Blaine's office typing away. We had to call our friend to ask about cute layouts for our homely blog. Now we have an adorable blog with a cute llama picture to fit with it. We had pizza then--we have pizza now. Much has not changed, but much has. And much will!

For as Obama says,
"Change is good."

HAPPY NEW YEAR

Hello, there.

"Mariah, will you swim with dolphins when Emma has an aquarium?" Laura murmers as she tries to stay awake.
"Eh... I don't know," Mariah says.
Emma is by the window talking about her future aquarium, filling Laura and Mariah's minds with dolphin knowledge.
"Captain--Seargent Pepper."
Is Emma talking about dolphin names?
"Lightning, and Cosmo..."

Happy New Year again! This is a peak of what happens when we get together. :)

Happy New Years

Mariah here.

A lot of things have heppened this year, haven't they? From driver's tests to concerts, from Foreign Exchange students to prank calls, we've truly had some amazing times.

Personally I have felt my testimony and knowledge grow this whole year. I've learned about people from other nations who are just like me yet so different. I have learned stuff about myself that would have surprised me in 2010! I am looking forward to my whole life with out looking back. I will grow this year even more and expand my horizons. And I have faith I will feel true joy as I learn to rely on my Lord and my Heavenly Father. I look forward to the personal revelation I will receive, the people I will meet, the knowledge I will gain, and the fun I will have. All in all, I don't have to do it all in this year--my life does not consist of 2011. But if I learn young my life will be better later. (^_^)

HAVE A GREAT NEW YEAR!

Update On My Life

Hello, once again, readers and followers!
This is Laura, once again.

I watched Julie and Julia last night, it inspired me to blog. :)
Even though nobody except me and Ri and Ems read this, it's still fun.
Maybe I'll be famous someday and my obsessed fans will read this...

So here's what's been going on in my life recently:
School's good. I still have all A's, and we're 3 weeks into the trimester, so that's good.
I'm freaking out about the ACT, and studying for it like crazy.
I decided that I kind of like cooking, but I don't like eating very much so I do "service cooking" for my family and then don't usually eat what I cook. :P
Even though I don't really like eating, I do like eating one thing: BREAKFAST FOR DINNER!!!! Best thing ever invented... :D
I'm going to the school dance tonight... we'll see how that goes. I don't like dances.
The Mia Maid president in my ward is going to Germany for three months, which means I'll probably end up being president. I have BIG PLANS for our YW and it's going to be awesome!
For those of you who don't know, Ems, Ri, and I have another blog about the service club we started called We Are His Hands. Last week in seminary they had Be The Hands Week, advocating service, (which is, of course, good) but it looks like we ripped our service club name off of theirs! Which we didn't.
My house is freezing.
I kind of really like the color yellow. I want a yellow car.
I NEED TO SAVE MONEY FOR COLLEGE! AND TAKE THE ACT!
I think I might bleach my hair... what do you guys think?

Before I leave, I have one thought to leave with you.
Wouldn't it be an awesome job to be a food critic?
Think if it this way: people pay you to eat fancy, expensive food and give your highly-valued opinion on it.
Awesome, right?

Have a fabulous day today!

Long time no see...

Hello, everyone!
This is Laura, your used-to-be-favorite Leatherette.
Yes, I know, I'm not your favorite anymore, because I haven't posted in like two months. But I have reason for that. :)
The reason is...
I'm sick.
Not physically sick, or anything.
But mentally sick.
I haven't posted in so long because I have a terrible, overwhelming obsession.
And that obsession's name is:
Farmville.
"Hello, my name is Laura, I am a Farmville-aholic."
I LOVE FARMVILLE!
It is like my favorite thing ever!
It is so fun!
It makes me happy! :D
While I am typing this, my farmer on farmville is planting peanuts.
Farmville is so much awesomer than your favorite thing ever.
People who do not play Farmville have not truly lived.
People who say that Farmville players have no life are secretly jealous of the Farmville players because they know that they secretly have no life and they wish that they were cool enough to play Farmville!
But, that said, I feel deep sorrow for abandoning the Leatherettes and blog-readers for so long. So, I will try to post more often and worry about my poor animals and whithering crops less.

I know that this is contradictory to my opinion, but I think it is hilarious!
So watch!

"It's just like being a real farmer, only without the benefits!"

So, if you are a long-time blog reader, then you will know how we got the name The Leatherettes. If not, our very first post gives a short and extremely confusing and corrupted version of the story, so if you would like to be enlightened, then read it. But, pretty much, the Leatherettes thing started last October in a cornmaze. So, this year, on the anniversary of that day, Ems and Ri and I (and Kemyla and Shelby and Kitty) all went back to that same cornmaze and re-met the same people who inspired us to be called The Leatherettes! :D

Well, my Farmville is done now, so imma get off the computer and go watch Diary of a Wimpy Kid. Anyone know if that's a good movie? I asked my mom to rent a horror movie, and that's what she got me.

Go trick-or-treating!
Don't prank call people who are very close to you! (they can tell it's your voice... :P)
PLAY FARMVILLE!!!!

HOLA!!!

I don't think that I have EVER been so happy for it just to be Friday. I love school but not having a deadline right before you is just a nice feeling for your soul! So I was bored of our old picture.... I love it and all but who doesn't care for a little change?!? It gives this website a whole new feel! I like it..... I would like to thank Kiersten for the picture.... I would also like to thank http://www.picnik.com/ for letting me access it easily. This picture is relatively old but it is new to the page!!! Well it is Friday, I should be doing homework but I am not! :P So there! We our club is well on it's way!
So twist and shout, (Mariah's saying)
Emma!
