This blog is about three friends and their journey through high school and life in general. :D The three friends referred to are Emma Rose, Laura Jo, and Mariah Elena.
Why the Leatherettes? Once upon a time, we went to a haunted cornmaze. It was frightening. Kind of. Not all that much. Laura was wearing a (fake) leather jacket. As they trekked through the dark rows of dry corn (which Emma thought she had memorized, "Because I did! Says I because I really do and I still do!") they ran into many frightening "monsters" whom Laura thought were the bee's knees- even though she was FAR too young to even think about hugging unknown people. Especially people with leather jackets, that nice but confused girl. >:(
Soon after Mariah Elena received a leather jacket from her sister. As Laura Jo and Mariah Elena wore their jackets more and more frequently, Emma found herself desperately wishing for a jacket as cool as theirs.
Something you must know about the Leatherettes is we have our own holiday! Every 31st day of the month we come together to celebrate! Whoo! Why 31st, you curious people? Well Harry Potter's (the coolest wizard to defeat the Dark Arts and better than any vampire) birthday is July 31st!
