Finish day two of core test. Also not too dreadful! Left an assignment at home that I was planning to work on after I was done!!!! Maybe my mom can bring it to me so that I may have it 4th hour.

Well life is one splendid journey of bliss and exploration. With exploration comes discovery and discovery comes AWESOMENESS! So this is what I found during my journey of life: =D HOMEBOY JIMMER! Oops... I meant Chemistry. Haha. Well this is Emma of the Rose! I just finished my lab online so now I may do whatever I please (says the substitute). I CAN FEEL SPRING IN THE AIR! :D

I WANT TO DO SOMETHING FUN! Wanna hear about it? Of course you do! YAY! Okay Brooke White from American Idol (a few seasons ago, I really don't watch AI anymore) is doing a fun blog adventure. Ti's called the 30 Day Song Challenge! I want to take the challenge. No. Not that Cinnamon challenge, the 30 DAY SONG CHALLENGE! Yet I have a dilEMMA. I HAVE NO TIME! :( Well MY PHILOSOPHY IS ONE: Always use CAPITAL LETTER sporadically, it is so much fun to do, and 2: When faced with a difficulty DO NOT FOCUS ON THE PROBLEMS OR HOW IT CANT BE DONE BUT FOCUS ON THE SOLUTION AND CREATIVE WAYS TO FIGURE IT OUT!!! So I have decided I will build a time machine with the discovery I found. What is this AMAZING, ERA CHANGING, PHENOMENON I have found you may ask. Well it is the LAURA'S HAND IS INVISIBLE. SO with that information I know that the world isn't what we think it is and that ANYTHING CAN BE DONE.

So, I promised all ya'll that I'd post my YW rap. (Speaking of which, it went marvelously, as did my spontaneous talk :D)

Note: This is not a good rap... I'm not a poet, and I wrote it all in 40 minutes. I also didn't have a rhyme dictionary, so some of the rhymes are really stupid. I apologize.

Here you go:

There once was a girl

Whose name was Sherry;

Her life as a child

Was oh-so-merry.

She grew up in a

Family, LDS,

And in the gospel

She gave her best.

Eventually, though,

Sherry became

A young woman, and

Nothing was the same.

When this time began,

She started to make

A few iffy friends

And a few mistakes.

A little peer pressure

Can go a long way,

With the little thought,

"I'll repent someday."

She still went to church

But it seemed all wrong;

Her mind would wander--

Church was just so long!

Sherry didn't care

'Bout what the prophet saith;

Soon she decided

She just didn't have faith.

Instead of reading

The Book of Mormon,

She stayed out with her friends--

It was lame to be Mormon.

One wrong choice would

Lead to another,

She got bad grades

And ignored her mother.

Sherry's conscience cried,

But she wouldn't listen.

She didn't realize

The bessing she was missin'.

Sherry was set on

Having lots of fun;

No thoughts to Father

Or his Beloved Son.

The girls in the ward,

Sherry they were missin'.

They knew they must find

A way to make her listen.

Sherry heard a knock

On her door one day;

The Laurel prez was there,

She had some things to say.

"We haven't seen you

Around in a while.

We want you to come."

She said with a smile.

"Come with us today

And do Personal Progress.

It will be so fun.

Oh, Sherry, say yes!"

Personal Progress

Was such a chore.

She hated it

Because she was a whore(ible person)

(P.S. this stanza was cut out during our rap... I just find it humorous)

But Sherry scowled

And agreed to go,

But the whole way there

She wished she'd said no.

The other girls smiled,

Excited to see

That Sherry had come

As they'd hoped would be.

Personal Progress

Was not quite so bad.

With the young women,

A fun time she had.

So Sherry came home

And opened her book.

"I can do this," she thought.

The challenge she took.

She started with Faith,

Which is like a seed.

It started to plant

A small testimony.

Next, Divine Nature,

In His image made,

With divine womanhood

More precious than jade.

Individual Worth,

A talent for each,

The worth of souls great,

For His hand we reach.

After that's Knowledge,

Seek learning by faith,

Working hard in school

And in all the prophet saith.

Next comes Choices and

Accountability,

Choose today whom to serve

With nobility.

After that's Good Works,

Service above self,

The pure love Christ,

To any who need help.

Next, Integrity,

Knowledge of wrong and right,

Consistent actions,

Temptations despite.

Last of all is Virtue,

Degraded in the movies,

Find a woman who has it--

Her price far above rubies.

Sherry was finally done,

And what could this be?

She had finally found

Her testimony!

Rapping and Spontaneous Speaking

Once again, this is your dear e-friend Laura.

Here is a description of my day up until now:
Got ready for school
Went to school
Spanish: past tense verb conjugation
Trig: worked on yesterday's assignment
US history: civil rights movie
Lunch
Seminary: listened to '80's music
Photo: nothing
English: I was supposed to read something written by Edgar Allen Poe, but I talked to my friends instead
Early out day :D
Came home
Avoided my sister and her friend

That's all, folks!
Now, for future events:
Tonight for mutual is New Beginnings, which is something done each year to teach the parents and new young women about the Personal Progress and Young Women programs.
For this, I have to give a talk about Personal Progress.
I haven't planned it yet.
It's in like 2 hours.
And I have a life, so I'm not gonna plan it.
I will speak spontaneously.
I do not suggest this... haha
Also, after I'm done speaking, I have to dress up as a rapper and give a rap (YES, A RAP! haha) about Personal Progress.
I'm actually quite excited for this bit, except for 2 things:
1. I wrote the rap and it's not very good
2. I don't really know how to rap
Hopefully this will go okay.
If it does go okay, I will maybe post my (not well written) rap on the blog for your entertainment. (and my shame)
Now I need to go find an mp3 of beat boxing to play in the background of our rap.
