Waiting for Class

Hello Blog World,

I am waiting for my Freshman Seminar class!  How glorious and fun this is, to sit in an old green chair after I just dropped a delicious Panini.  I usually get a panini for lunch if I am on campus, for the lines are short and I like me some paninis!! :D

I actually am not in the old, flat-cushioned, green chair.  Instead I am inside of this huge lecture hall!  It is full of art students after a while, which is fun but a little intimidating when you think about applying in November.  Ah, well, I hope every one does well.  I really do.

So, college so far has been nice. I have been mostly studying, attending the Provo temple, reading a LOT, talking, laughing, and walking, walking, walking.  I wouldn't change it though.  I have been enjoying my classes immensely.  I love my child development class, though it is sometimes disturbing when we actually talk of developing children.  That is just not for me right now, I should say.

I also love my Freshman Seminar class.  Mostly we learn about each art department.  No homework involved!! Love that!  My art classes are dreams for me.  I hope I get into the department.  I can't live without art.  Though, when I tell people I want to be an art teacher, I don't light up.  You should light up about the job you want to have.  Instead, I light up when I speak of being a seminary teacher.  That is my for real, positive dream.  I think everyone should follow their for real, positive dream.  So, I think I should tell people I want to be a seminary teacher instead of an art teacher, although I really do love art and I love teaching and I am excited in my hear to teach it.

Well, that is all for now.

Oh, P.S. I love all of my classes except for WRTG 150.  Sorry, Brother Merrill.

Love,
Mariah

Peeta > Gale (A.K.A Pwnage)

I have to agree that Peeta is better for Katniss.

Gale= anger and agressiveness

Katniss= anger and aggressiveness

Gale+Katniss= ANGER AND AGGRESSIVENESS ON STEROIDS (not yelling, just emphasizing. :D)

Peeta= Love, happiness, forgiveness, awesomeness, cuteness and the best part of human

Peeta+Katniss= Good (her aggressiveness sort of cancels out all of that other stuff Peeta is.)

Love,
Mariah

P.S. I don't like Peeta in the movies, though. And I don't think I will see the next Hunger Games movies (are they making more?)

Viva la Vida

Ummm. NO! Peeta is the epitome (or e-peeta-ome) of perfectness!

Now that we have that covered, I am going to make an assumption.
I am guess Laura posted that post in relation to her delightful blog!

This is how I finish movies. I sleep through them. They finish and I finish some needed sleep! That college life for me. If I am invited to watch a movie I just hear that I am invited to Emma nap time.

Guess who..... :):)

Hey, blog readers!! :)
Guess who this is.
This is LAURA!!!!!
Yes, Laura.  Otherwise known as Laur.
Otherwise known as the one who hasn't blogged since like 3 lifetimes ago.

I know, I know.  I sort of ditched this blog.  I got really really busy and forgot to write on it for a long time.  Then when I had time to think about blogging again, all my other friends had made their own blogs.  So I made my own blog, and I try to write on it frequently however most of my posts are just me complaining.  And nobody reads my blog, but WTCA has accumulated over 7000 pageviews since it's inception that one new year's eve... congrats, guys. :)

So now I'm in college at University of Utah; I'm currently in biology class.  I work at a Domino's Pizza and spend pretty much all my time doing homework and complaining on my other blog.  That's pretty much my whole life right now.  Boring, right?  Miss Emma and Miss Mariah must have fantastic lives at BYU, and that's why so many people read this blog and so few read mine.

Here's a letter:

To whoever made WTCA look so beautiful,
I don't know if you're Mariah or Emma, but I'm sure you know who you are.  My blog is unattractive, and WTCA looks fantastic and perfect.  I've tried to spice up my blog, but the blogger template sites don't make any sense to me because I'm a blonde at heart.  Whoever added so much beauty to WTCA, text me please.  I would like to hire you to beautify my blog.  I will pay you in candy or whatever we negotiate.
Sincerely,
Miss Laura

Dang it, the teacher is teaching biology stuff that I don't already know.... I have to go take notes now.  But I hope that all ya'all are happy, because I've received an alarming amount of requests to post on WTCA recently.  Have a fantastic day. :)

I Know Heavenly Father Loves Me

Okay, now, ya'll. Sit down and let me tell you all the ways I know Heavenly Father loves me. (And I promise. Promise. He loves you too.) (Promise) (Hahahahaha bad grammar.) (Breaking rules.) (Did you see that sentence fragment?)

     1)     Today I was sitting by myself behind the JFSB and working on my art project.  (Pictured below)

Here I am, trying to figure out those little scraps of paper, when these little kindergartners on a field trip came running to the fountain.  After a little splashing, the teacher called them over to her.  They passed me and saw my art.  When the teacher saw it, she exclaimed, "Look, kids, an artist! Just like we saw at the art museum!"  The kids thought that I was the most amazing person.  I thought it was so cute! One little boy even invited me to go on the field trip with him.  I said, "I wish!" And I do wish I could! They were so cute.

     2)     I am so tired! I got 5.5 hours of sleep (Emma only got THREE.), and I was not feeling the art class today.  But guess what! I got out an hour and a half EARLY.  And you know why? Because Heavenly Father loves me. He also wants me to go to Family Home Evening, I think.  My peeps would have left me. :( It starts at seven and I get out at seven.  Although, I believe it will work out.  It did today!

      3)     Heavenly Father helped me find Doctor Who on iTunes!! Oh, happy day.  He really knows me! And I did not watch it on Sunday (that is the Lord's day, not the Doctor's), so it makes it feel even better to get to watch it soon!

     4)      I passed my BYU/SA (Student Association) test! And so did Emma! How happy making is that? Very.

Now. That is all for now, my young dodos!
Love,
Mariah

Clocks

I have a theme for this blog this time! And I promise to stick to it this time.

But first... I really like Miracle Whip. And Nutella. But not together.

Videos! They are such a big deal in my daily life. In my sociology class we do not go through a whole class period without watching a video.

So here are some videos that have impacted me recently. They range from the ridiculous to serious and all the fantastic in between. Study brake for you

Title of Video: MY FAVORITE FACE IN THE WORLD!
That isn't the official name of the video... but I really do not care for the video except there is a man dressed as some woodland animal and he is my favorite person ever! WATCH FOR HIM FROM 1:52 to 2:05! Such style with that smile!!! LOVE IT. And it makes me laugh SO MUCH! And I am not even sure why. And then the rest of the video is shallow. But my woodland man makes it all worth it!

Title: Hilarious! ThePianoGuys hit the streets of New York
Which that title is actually the title. And I think it is SO HILARIOUS! In that subtle not in your face funny way. But this video has inspired me. I have now changed my major to cello performance. Haha. Okay maybe not but the video has inspired me to know my Halloween costume for this year. See 5:52-6:39! I hope I can have the awkward music playing in the background to I dress as a look-alike of me.

Title: Mumford & Sons - I Will Wait
I CAN'T WAIT FOR THE NEW MUMFORD AND SONS CD! I am so so so so ready for their new songs. But "I Will Wait". Yes, you may thank me for having you listen to such melodious music of splendour! P.s. Watch the dance moves of the piano and banjo boys! They are trying not to move too much but they still have some of their wonderful moves coming through.

Title: The Harlem Children's Zone
I have to talk to you in person about this one.

Thanks for watching!!!

Now I am going back to my everlasting studies!

Mariah's General College Post

 HEYO!

This week has been a good one. I have survived my classes, just like Ems! I like them so far. I am starting to regret that two hour break in my Mondays and Wednesdays though. Oh well, I guess I should use them for what I created them for. ... Studying. :) I have a lot of art homework, which one wouldn't think of as homework, but I have to do hours and hours of drawing and cutting and pasting right now! Ah!

Today Emma showed me the most beautiful place to study. It is near the JSB building, here at BYU, and it is so peaceful. I like the fact that there aren't a million people busying around to their classes or talking. I can only see 7 people here, and they are all studying quietly. Plus, there are plants and grass all aorund, shade, and a fountain shooting forth water over some wonderful rocks! I think the water makes the breeze a bit cooler over here, and I am enjoying it immensely. Thanks, Emma!

Also, Emma, I just happened to love your post! That part of Wales looks beautiful (oh, who am I kidding. It's all beautiful!) and charming. Not to mention they filmed part of Deathly Hallows there, so that adds 100 million cool points right there!

I really love my roommate here. We read scriptures yesterday and talked about genealogy and our family on the other side of the veil. I cried. Yeah, I was hoping I could talk about that stuff without leaking water everywhere but I couldn't. hahaha Anywho, I just loved it.  There is nothing quite like the spirit and genealogy to bring two roomies together! Really though, I couldn't ask for a better room mate. She is outgoing, kind, funny, silly, and studious. Also she has a great moral compass!

Today Emma and I got lunch together! We tried these chicken salad croissant sandwiches, which were yuuuummy! I liked the chicken and the croissant. I wish there were grapes in them though. That would have added a lot to it.

Now, enough about college.

Let's talk about Doctor Who.

I AM MISSING THE SEASON BECAUSE I AM AT BYU. I DO NOT HAVE BBC. AND YES, THIS CALLS FOR ALL CAPS. FOREVER. I MUST REALLY LOVE BYU.

Love,
Mariah

Where Love Is

Hello,
Well, we have all seemed to have survived are first few weeks of living out on our own. Go us!
Classes for me are great. All my classes are quite reading intensive so I spend most my life reading. And wearing sweats. But that is a different story.

Where Generations Meet: Family Search
I worked on Genealogy today! I am looking at some of my family line that lived in Wales, specifically Pembrokeshire, Wales.

Pembrokeshire, Wales

I am excited for the day that I journey to Wales, I am making a Genealogy trip out of it now!
Love,
Emma
